Ribbon Blender

Working Principle of Ribbon Blender

The outer helical ribbon moves the material in one direction, while the inner helical ribbon simultaneously moves it in the opposite direction. Consequently, materials move both radially and axially throughout the mixing chamber, creating continuous circulation and effective blending.

Convective mixing involves the movement of large portions of solid material from one location to another. As the agitator rotates, materials move along the horizontal axis of the trough and continuously turn over, promoting rapid bulk mixing.

Diffusive Mixing

Diffusive mixing occurs when individual particles move relative to one another and rearrange within the material bed. This movement helps distribute particles uniformly throughout the mixture.
